MEET KYLIE BOARDMAN

LPC

Finding a counselor that is the right fit for you can be challenging. My goal as a therapist is to provide not only a safe place but a special relationship with each individual client. I feel privileged and honored to have the opportunity to walk this journey with clients.

My clinical interest include working with those struggling with disordered eating, body image concerns, depression, anxiety and relationships. I am passionate about helping individuals overcome disordered eating, gain an understanding of their worth and identity in who God created them to be, communicate well with others and gain the tools to help them best thrive in their lives.

After finishing my Bachelors degree at Texas A&M University, I went on to received my Master’s Degree in Mental Heath Counseling from The University of Wyoming. I am licensed to practice in Texas as an LPC license #87934.

MY SERVICES

EATING DISORDER AND BODY IMAGE CONCERNS

Food is essential in our lives - whether for our survival or in social settings, it plays a massive role. Distorted thoughts around food and body image affect who God created us to be. Using a combination of therapeutic approaches I work with each unique client to manage behaviors, address cognitive distortions and focus on our identities being rooted in Christ.

ANXIETY COUNSELING

Racing thoughts? Overwhelmed? Avoiding certain tasks, people or environments? Anxiety presents differently for each person, but the good news is we are not stuck in these negative cycles. I use a combination of evidence based therapeutic approaches and sound biblical principals to help each client begin to manage symptoms and find relief.

DEPRESSION COUNSELING

Depression can feel overwhelmingly hopeless and heavy. Those dark days do not have to be your everyday "normal". I seek to provide a space where processing depression is possible and we can work together using both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to move toward new thought patterns and healing. This will be done through a Christ-centered focus.

“God uniquely created your DNA and knit your frame in secret so he could surprise the world. He authored how your heart expresses itself; he was the architect of your smile and the melody of your voice; he made all of your features with the fondest thoughts of only you in mind."
