FEES AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT ARE YOUR SESSION FEES?

The Individual intake assessment/first session is 60 minutes in length and is $150. Each individual follow-up session is 50 minutes in length and is $130/session. Intensive 2 hour sessions available upon request for Eating Disorder recovery-$260/intensive. The fee is due in full at the time services are rendered, unless previous arrangements have been made.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FOR MY FIRST SESSION?

 The first session with a counselor can feel scary and even overwhelming however, my goal is to make this process as comfortable and  inviting as possible. I will spend time getting to know you, hearing your story and your reasons for seeking counseling. We will also discuss the therapeutic process, any previous experiences you've had with mental health services, and how I approach the counseling process. I will cover my practice procedures, informed consent information, as well as best ways to communicate regarding future appointments.

HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION?

Each session is 50 minutes long. It is important sessions end on time to ensure the next client receives their full session and is able to start on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late to a session without first notifying the therapist of a late start, your appointment will be canceled and you may be subject to the late/no show fee.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

I do not currently accept insurance. All services are cash pay. I can provide a superbill (detailed invoice) for you, should you choose to seek reimbursement for costs using your insurance benefits.

HOW IS PAYMENT COLLECTED AND DO YOU TAKE CREDIT CARDS?

I accept all major credit cards and can set up autopay for your convenience through my secure portal. It is important to note if your appointment is cancelled prior to the 24-hour required window, your card is not charged.

 

DO YOU HAVE A CANCELATION POLICY?

I require a 24-hour minimum cancellation window to allow waitlist individuals an opportunity to be seen. For appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice and for no shows, you will be charged the full session fee and will be unable to schedule a future appointment until your account is settled. Exceptions made due to extenuating circumstances are at the full discretion of the therapist.

 

HOW CAN I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT

 Use the form under the "Request Appointment” tab or email me directly at kylie@kboardmancounseling.com. Please provide information regarding your requested day/time and I will get back to you with my availability. Once we find a time that works, you will be emailed the link to the client portal where intake paperwork can be completed.
